Down through the centuries true born again christians have faced dark trying times through persecution and even death. The reality is that still today many are suffering persecution. We are now seeing such wicked and ungodly days, that the true church is beginning to sense that persecution will continue to grow more and more. This persecution will not be because of our belief in Christ, but rather our uncompromising faith in Him, it will increase because of our lack of tolerance for the wickedness of man and the damning influence of this world.
I have used another beautiful hymn by Charity Homeschool Chorus "In The Rifted Rock I'm Rested". This hymn well describes the love of the believer towards a loving Lord and Saviour, and speaks of the rest of a child of God in times of trouble and need. It is only clinging to our Saviour that would enable any born again believer to stand strong in such times.
Hebrews 13:3 "Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body."
